Open since 1997. Address: 103-105 Vo Nguyen Giap Street, Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang. Right on My Khe Beach.
198 rooms and suites. 68 private pool villas. The architecture is Indochine with Cham accent details: carved wood corridors, tiled roofs, covered walkways through mature palm gardens. It was the first property in Vietnam to receive the Culinary Heritage Asia-Pacific designation, which sounds ceremonial until you actually eat here. Then it makes sense.
The property sits about 8 km from Da Nang International Airport and 30 km from Hoi An.

The walk from the main entrance to the beachfront is about five minutes. Covered walkways. Tall palms. Garden sections connecting the buildings.
First-time guests usually underestimate the scale of the place. The photos don’t capture how far the property stretches.
Here is the honest note about condition: some rooms in the older wings show their age. Marble bathrooms are solid. Balconies hold up well. But the decor in certain standard-category rooms has not been refreshed in years; the furniture and wall finishes give it away.
The newer suites and all the villas are a different story entirely.
If you are booking a standard room, request something on a higher floor or in a recently renovated section when you check in. The front desk here is generally accommodating about room swaps if availability allows.

Standard rooms run 40 to 44 sqm with full balconies. That is generous for a Vietnamese beach resort. The Ocean Suite at 85.8 sqm nearly doubles the floor plan. The jump in space is noticeable and the balcony at 23 sqm is large enough to actually use for morning coffee or evening drinks.
Best value for couples: Ocean Deluxe. Ocean view, proper room size, without crossing into suite pricing.
Best for families in the hotel block: Family Room. Two interconnecting rooms, large balcony, garden setting.
All rooms come with king-size or twin configuration, polished timber floors, marble bathroom with rain shower, minibar, air conditioning, and balcony access.

The design in the villa compound leans more deliberately into Vietnamese-Indochine architectural details than the hotel block does. These are genuinely separate structures with real privacy, not hotel rooms with a small courtyard attached.
The Happy Family 2-Bedroom villas include a dedicated kids area built into the layout. For families with children under 10, these remove the main friction of a resort stay: no scheduling around shared pool access, no navigating crowds with young kids.
Beachfront villas at 850 sqm of land with direct beach access are the premium tier. Four bedrooms, private pool, the lot.
Furama has four dining outlets and the food quality is genuinely above average for a resort hotel.
Cafe Indochine
The main restaurant. Breakfast at Cafe Indochine runs 6:30am to 10:30am. The setup includes a pho station, made-to-order eggs, fresh fruit, imported cheese, pastries, and on select mornings a dedicated seafood section. Get there before 9am for a quieter experience. By 9:30 it fills up during peak season.
Don Cipriani’s
Italian. Proper technique. Pasta made in-house. The wine list covers Italian varietals rather than defaulting to whatever the hotel purchasing team negotiated cheapest. Dinner for two with wine runs USD 80-120. Comparable to standalone Da Nang restaurants in quality, without the taxi ride.
The Fan
Dry-aged steaks with Asian-American flavor influences. The cocktail menu is more inventive than the other bars on the property. Worth coming here for a drink even without a full meal.
Vietnamese Cooking Classes
Half-day format: morning market visit with a chef, then hands-on cooking instruction in groups of 8-12. The pace is slow enough to actually learn something. Books up faster than people expect. Reserve when you check in.
The Culinary Heritage Asia-Pacific designation is not a marketing invention. Food is where this resort earns its reputation.
Two pool environments. They serve different purposes.
The Lagoon Pool is the main pool. Irregular shape, winds through the garden section, genuinely large enough to find a quiet corner even in July. Heated. Loungers available around the perimeter.
The kids pool and water play area is separate from the lagoon. This separation works well. Families with small children cluster at the kids pool, which keeps the lagoon adult-friendly.
Peak season note: July and August, the good loungers around the lagoon go by 8am. Get there early if you care about position.
Private access on My Khe Beach for resort guests. Beach staff, safety flags, sun loungers, umbrella service, and food and drink delivery to the beach.
My Khe has rip currents, which is standard for this stretch of coast. The resort has beach safety protocols in place and flags marking safe swimming zones. Still worth understanding before you take children into the water.
On weekends in high season, My Khe gets busy. The resort’s managed section is better than the public stretch nearby, but this is not a secluded private island setup. It is a well-managed section of a busy beach.
Operating hours: 8:30am to 6:00pm daily.
Activities include cooking demos, craft sessions, outdoor games, and water play. The staff ratio is decent and the activities are genuinely varied across a multi-day stay. Guests who return repeatedly usually make consistent use of this. That is generally the clearest signal that a kids club is well-run.
Current fee policy: confirm directly with the resort at reservation@furamavietnam.com as rates can change seasonally.
Vietnamese traditional treatments alongside Swedish and Asian-fusion options. The 90-minute signature massage runs USD 70-90. Steam room, sauna, relaxation lounges on the premises.
Book morning appointments. Afternoon slots fill up from noon onward during busy periods, and the morning sessions tend to be less rushed.

The resort runs a regular shuttle to Hoi An. Day trips are easy without booking a separate car.
One practical note: the resort is on a hotel strip on Vo Nguyen Giap Street. You are not walking distance to Da Nang’s restaurant scene or bar area. Grab rides in and out are short and cheap, but it is worth knowing in advance. If your priority is beach access in the morning and city dining in the evening, the logistics work fine.
7,000 reviews. 4.7/5 average. Sustained over several years on TripAdvisor.
Most praised: the breakfast, the pool setup, the beach access, the kids club, and the consistency of service across multiple visits.
Most common criticism: room condition in the older wings, and the lack of walkable dining options near the hotel.
Both assessments are accurate.
Standard rooms start around USD 120-150 per night in shoulder season (April-May and September-October). Ocean view rooms and suites run USD 180-280. Villas start at USD 250 per night for 1-bedroom and scale to USD 500-plus for the 4-bedroom beachfront category.
Against comparable 5-star properties on My Khe, Furama sits in the mid-range. Not the least expensive option in Da Nang, and not the most expensive either.
For a 4-plus night stay with full use of the breakfast, pools, beach, kids club, and spa, the rate is justified by what you are actually using. For a 1-2 night transit stop, it is harder to extract the value.
Book on Booking.com or Agoda for the best current rates and cancellation flexibility.
Good match:
– Families with children (kids club, separate kids pool, family villas)
– Couples on 4-plus night stays wanting beach, food, and spa
– Repeat Vietnam visitors who want a reliable, well-established property
– Groups needing villa accommodation with private pools
Less ideal match:
– Travelers wanting boutique or minimalist design
– Guests who prioritize walkable urban access over beach
– Short stays of 1-2 nights where the facilities do not offset the room rate
28 years running this property and the product reflects the experience. The food is genuinely strong, strong enough to be the primary reason some guests return. The pools and beach setup work well. The kids facilities are above average.
The older room wing condition is a real issue for some guests, and the location requires a Grab ride for city dining. Neither is a dealbreaker if you know going in.
At current pricing, Furama delivers fair value for what it offers, assuming you plan to use what the resort provides.
Is Furama Resort Danang worth the money?
Yes, for stays of 4 or more nights with consistent use of the breakfast, beach, pools, and kids club. The food quality alone sets it above similarly priced properties in Da Nang. For 1-2 night stays, the value is harder to extract.
What time is check-in and check-out at Furama Resort Danang?
Check-in from 2:00 PM. Check-out by 12:00 PM noon. A damage deposit of VND 1,000,000 is required at check-in and refunded at departure. Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability.
Does Furama Resort Danang have a private beach?
Yes. The resort has managed beach access on My Khe with sun loungers, umbrella service, beach staff, and safety flags. My Khe is technically a public beach, but Furama’s section is reserved for resort guests.
Is Furama Resort Danang good for families?
Yes. The kids club runs 8:30am to 6:00pm daily with varied activities and adequate staffing. There is a separate kids pool and water play area. The Happy Family 2-Bedroom villas include a dedicated kids area with private pool.
How far is Furama Resort Danang from Hoi An?
30 km, approximately 35-40 minutes by Grab or taxi. The resort operates a regular shuttle to Hoi An for guests who prefer not to book separate transport.
Which room is best value at Furama Resort Danang?
For couples: the Ocean Deluxe category (43.7 sqm, full ocean view balcony) without paying for suite-level square footage. For families in the hotel block: the Family Room with two interconnecting rooms. For privacy and pool access: the 2-Bedroom or Happy Family Pool Villa.
Where is Furama Resort Danang located?
103-105 Vo Nguyen Giap Street, Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang, Vietnam. On My Khe Beach, 8 km from Da Nang International Airport and 30 km from Hoi An Ancient Town.
What restaurants are at Furama Resort Danang?
Four options: Cafe Indochine (Vietnamese buffet, breakfast and themed dinners), Don Cipriani’s (Italian, in-house pasta, USD 80-120 for two with wine), The Fan (steaks and creative cocktails), and Vietnamese Cooking Classes (half-day format, groups of 8-12).
